Shock! Young People, Ages 18-35, Have Heart Disease!

by Steven Carney on May 3, 2012

Did you know that more young people are having adult health problems like their parents? Many of those from their late teens to 30s have weight issues along with early heart disease. Yet, these are lifestyle-driven health problems most of the time.

One study (link below) indicates that a significant number of younger people (age 18-35) have high abdominal fat (including deeper fat that has invaded their organs), along with early heart disease/atherosclerosis (plaque in heart and other arteries). And younger women are dying more often from heart disease.

Even though younger people might not have obvious symptoms of heart disease (chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea, jaw pain), the damage to health will continue “under the radar.” Extra visceral fat is metabolically active, contributing to inflammation, hormone imbalances and organ damage, while the artery deposits contribute to high blood pressure (BP). Together, these lifestyle-driven health problems contribute to:

  • Arthritis
  • Diabetes
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Cancer
  • Heart attack and stroke! Yes, it can happen to you!

Although your doctor would prescribe drugs for these problems (one’s that won’t really heal the problems), these health problems and early sickness can be resolved with improved nutrition and fun activity. And by changing your lifestyle now, you can change your genes (it’s true!) and have less sickness for the rest of your life (even colds, flu, fatigue, etc.)! Why not live smart and get ahead of the curve?

A certified health coach is the missing link in the process of life and health transformation! Unlike your doctor, I’ll work with you to reverse these problems forever, without expensive drugs! I’ll be there to provide weekly support and guidance so you can take control of your health and life! In weeks, you’ll feel better, with more energy, better sleep and improved mental ability and confidence! Here is the study link (I have others):

I saw this study on 6/1/13 and decided to add:
